Æthelstan, the first King of England, unified Anglo-Saxon England and then won the Battle of Brunanburh in 937 AD so hard that poets were still writing about it centuries later. This design features a bold engraved portrait of Æthelstan, crowned and serious, framed in medieval blackletter typography. Perfect for anyone who thinks this king has been underrated for about 1,000 years.
